PNEXT 2217 is a CNC machining center for drilling, tapping, and milling enclosures and cabinets used in automation and power distribution.
It consists of a 3-axis Cartesian system that moves an electrospindle equipped with an automatic tool changer. The supporting structure incorporates a vertical work surface for processing panels, doors, internal plates, and other flat components, as well as a rear section designed to accommodate enclosures, boxes, and electrical cabinets.
The maximum milling thickness is 3mm for metals and 5mm for plastics.
WISEgen, a programming system developed entirely in-house, resides on the machine itself, enabling operators to be independent not only in executing machining processes but also in designing them. The machine can be connected to the company network, providing access to the corporate server for performing backups, saving machining data—essential for Industry 4.0—and retrieving previously stored, recurring projects. No data, configurations, or libraries are stored on any infrastructure outside of the client’s own environment.
Programming utilizes symbols contained in continuously updated libraries, to which users can independently add their most frequently used items without needing to request assistance from Powertech. The simple and intuitive graphical environment provides a real-time view of the design in progress, while the use of parametric formulas allows for the reuse of the same design—even when the dimensions of the electrical panel are changed—by maintaining the original ratios and proportions.
With 20 in-line tools ready for use, fast processing speeds, and CNC programming that is ready just seconds after a project is finalized, you can achieve a 60% time saving compared to traditional marking and machining methods—even for a single-piece batch. For larger or repetitive batches, this figure reaches 80%.
